When you go to print, a different "copy-x" will be the actual "printer" that works, and it changes with each session / application you try to print from. So four good cartridges tossed out, and now, since each reset (#-3,6, 9 and menu reset to factory defaults) created a new instance of the printer in Printers and Devices (labeled copy 1 through copy 8. (Took all day yesterday to figure that out - should be part of the replacement instructions). The unwritten instruction appears to be that you have to REPLACE ALL CARTIDGES WITH NEW ONES AND DO A #-9 RESET THREE TIMES. Is it possible that the new print head requires a printer firmware upgrade that is not available from support downloads? (Printer reports firmware version VAx2FN0933AR.)Īny other ideas on how to get black printing again?
